She considers it a privilege and an honor to serve God in this way. The Nashville station receives over 300 prayer calls per month, resulting in many people being saved, healed, encouraged, and set free!
Angela grew up in Topeka, KS where she received 11 years of private piano instruction from the late Dolores Collins Studio in Topeka, KS. She started playing for churches, singing groups, soloists, and school events at 11 years old. She graduated high school with honors and received the Presidential Scholarship to Washburn University. She then transferred to Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majoring in Management.
After working in the corporate world in Kansas for several years, she believes she was led by God to move to North Carolina. Her passion for music motivated her to start a music instruction business in Monroe, North Carolina, where she taught piano and voice to all ages. For 16 years, she shared her gift with the community and encouraged her students to discover their musical gifts. Several students went on to pursue their Music degrees at various colleges and universities, namely, Berklee College of Music, Western Carolina University, and NYU, while others have excelled in Music Ministry.
Also in Monroe, North Carolina, Angela served as Minister of Music at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church (EMBC) for 18 years, teaching choirs, and accompanying them on the organ and keyboard. While serving at EMBC, she realized the need for evangelism in the community surrounding the church, so she started monthly prayer walks and outdoor outreach programs, rallying church members as well as neighboring churches to join forces with her. Hundreds of connections were made during these events, with souls coming to Christ, and their spiritual, as well as physical needs being met.
Angela’s goal is to serve even more now that she and her family have relocated to Tennessee. She has already started teaching piano in her home and plans on expanding her business, Amor Piano Studio. She and her husband, Terrence, have 3 grown children, Trinette, Trent, and Raven, who live in New York, Kansas City, and Charlotte, NC, respectively, and one 10 year-old daughter, Taryn.
