Tera T. Hambrick currently serves as Director of Regulatory Affairs and General Counsel for Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, Inc. (“MWCHC”). In this role, she instituted in-house legal services when she joined the company during the summer of 2010. She provides counsel on a variety of operational, transactional, real property, privacy and security, fraud and abuse compliance, and employment matters. In addition to managing the legal affairs for the company, she ensures organizational compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and serves as the Accreditation Coordinator for the organization’s long-standing accreditation under the Ambulatory Care Program by The Joint Commission.
Prior to joining MWCHC, Tera practiced as a member of the Litigation practice group of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, LLP in Nashville, Tennessee between 2004 and 2010. In 1997, her professional career began in the nonprofit sector where she joined Entrepreneur Guidance and Training, Inc. (“EGT”), the former nonprofit corporation devoted to training and consulting low-to-moderate income individuals who desire to start their own businesses. During her seven (7) years of employment with EGT as a Program Assistant and Loan Manager, she implemented and managed the company’s microloan program and provided consultative assistance to the entrepreneurs.

Tera is licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee and admitted to the bars of all federal courts within the State of Tennessee. She is active in the community, mentoring high school and law school students and newly practicing attorneys. She has served on numerous boards of nonprofit organizations, including the Council on Aging of Greater Nashville and Entrepreneur Guidance and Training, Inc., and advisory or development committees, including the Development Committee of the Tennessee Justice Center. She is a member of the Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations as well as Co Chairperson of the Health Law Committee of the Nashville Bar Association during the 2017 program year. Tera was selected as a Nashville Bar Foundation Fellow in 2017 and was a member of the Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Law Class of 2016.

Tera is frequently sought to speak on entrepreneurial and business law, employment law, privacy and security, and healthcare compliance matters, including presentations at the Tennessee Primary Care Association’s annual statewide leadership conference held during September, 2016. She co-authored the article, “Treat Me Equitably and As I See Myself” (Parts 1 and 2), which was published in consecutive issues of Executive Insight during February, 2016.
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Tera received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Psychology from Fisk University and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University Law School. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, particularly exploring new restaurants.
