Over the last two decades, Laquita Stribling has worked her way up from entry-level associate to senior vice president at Ranstad USA. Laquita is now responsible for four districts and nine offices across three states, approximately 1,500 employees and over $40 million in revenue. In addition to her impressive career, Laquita has been extremely influential in her community. Her passion to give her time to community service is driven by the scripture: “To whom much is given, much is required.”

Laquita pays it forward every day. She sees the work she does at Randstad to be a ministry. It’s very rewarding to help people find jobs and advance their careers.

Laquita recently served as president of the Rotary Club of Nashville. She was the first African-American female president to hold this position in the Rotary Club’s 101 years of service. Laquita led the effort to raise a record $300,000 to fund local community projects. She also spearheaded the creation of a strategic plan to intentionally and proactively seek and attract more women, people of color, younger people, and individuals from more varied industries. In a time when most clubs’ memberships are declining, the Rotary Club of Nashville’s membership has seen a net growth, and it is now a more diverse and inclusive organization. During her tenure, she established a Rotaract Club at Fisk University to engage students in leadership and service. She is currently the district governor-elect for District 6760 of Rotary International.

Laquita serves on the board of directors for the Nashville Sports Council, CABLE, Middle Tennessee Boy Scouts of America and Second Harvest Food Bank. In addition, Laquita volunteers for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce on the Education Report Card Committee. Previously, Laquita has served on the board of directors and as treasurer for Tennessee Staffing Association, as professional development chairwoman for the Middle Tennessee Society for Human Resources Management, and as an agency monitor for United Way. She has also served on several committees with the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. Laquita was also inducted into the first class of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Sports Hall of Fame where she was a 9 Time All American Sprinter. Laquita is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

A native of Marianna, Ark., Laquita earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She continued her education at the University of Memphis, where she obtained her Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in human resources. She is currently enrolled at Trevecca Nazarene University, where she expects to earn her doctorate this fall. Laquita is married to Finis Stribling III, and they have three sons: Finis IV, Kylan and Tre’.
