Glenn W Hunter arrived in Franklin, Tennessee in 2006 where he has raised his four children. Following roles in business development consulting, Glenn hit his stride as an entrepreneur and nonprofit organization leader. His leadership is well demonstrated in his commitment to equitable education as a Founding Trustee of Knowledge Academies, a leading, award-winning charter school in Antioch that emphasizes a diverse learning environment and rigorous college preparation.
As Board Chairperson for Touchstone Youth Resource Services, a nonprofit focusing on Social Emotional Learning skills for Nashville teenagers, Mr. Hunter presides over an organization that has recently enjoyed significant growth in influence and funding. With programming like CiViL, that allows teens to exercise conflict resolution, in addition to their emotional development, in an honest and nurturing environment, Touchstone Youth Resource Services has helped urban and suburban partner schools minimize violence and enhance school camaraderie across Nashville.
More importantly, the organization embraces Middle Tennessee’s progressive climate where, the social emotional learning tools that the teens development remain consistent across academic, social, and ethnic lines. Under Glenn’s strategic leadership, CiVil continues to perpetuate Nashville as a great place to live, because it provides students learning opportunities to develop a social emotional culture that value neighbors for their ability to contribute to their specific environments.
Glenn currently serves as Managing Director for Hunter And Beyond, LLC which is a marketing firm that focuses on generating business growth through better storytelling and brand development. He develops and promotes Social Emotional Learning workshops in various markets in order to equip educators, administrators and parents with the tools to nurture more inclusive environments. He also creates programs for small businesses to acquire more clients where Glenn excels by demonstrating an eye for opportunity and insight to maximize value.
