Magazine Show began broadcasting on WVOL 1470 AM, “Nashville’s Heritage Station” and the station where media mogul, Oprah Winfrey began her broadcasting career. With over twenty years combined radio and television expertise, Deniece has been “Keeping YOU in the know” about entertainment, health, food, fashion, lifestyles, and community affairs on various radio stations locally and nationally.
With a fan base following of well over 5,000, Deniece has definitely made her mark in the world of social media. For years, she has been known for “keeping YOU in the know” via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. For this reason, in the year 2015, she decided to change the name of the radio program to “IN THE KNOW” Radio Magazine Show just as the program began broadcasting on WRFN Radio Free Nashville 103.7 FM 107.1 FM, Nashville, Pasquo, TN. The show also streams online at radiofreenashville.org and can be heard LIVE Fridays, 9-11 am CST. “IN THE KNOW” Radio Magazine Show offers compelling, unique and engaging interviews with today’s difference makers. Deniece has interviewed many prominent, notable figures throughout the various industries. She has received rave reviews from her guests. She possesses a warm, inviting spirit that keep guests always on the ready to come back and chat with her. She is a mainstay in the broadcasting community. Deniece is also a staple in the community. She believes in our youth as our next generation. She has a strong passion for the success of our young girls. She has volunteered many hours empowering teen girls’ self esteem, pursuing academic goals and feeling comfortable in her own body. Deniece also has a personal relationship with Former President and First Lady Obama. Deniece is the Publicist for Yvonne Lloyd. Yvonne served on the board of Developing Communities Project (DCP), the organization that hired the Former President Obama as a Community Organizer in Chicago, IL. Yvonne is also the basis for the character, “Shirley” in Former President Obama’s first book, “Dreams from My Father”. Yvonne was also invited to and attended the wedding of the Obamas. Deniece was a VIP guest for the 2nd Inauguration for Former President Barack Obama. She has also had the honor of meeting and speaking with the former First Family.
Deniece has honed in on her many years of recruitment expertise. She is also the host of Employment Talk Today (ETT). Employment Talk Today, produced by Crosswind Media Advertising, is the only radio program broadcasting in the Nashville, TN area that features Greater Nashville’s and surrounding counties’ top Human Resource and Personnel Directors in efforts to discuss each company’s job opportunities. Employment Talk Today (ETT) and Crosswind Media Advertising recently partnered with Nashville Mayor Megan Barry’s initiative, Opportunity NOW in conjunction with the Nashville Advancement Career Center. Opportunity Now was created based on recommendations from the Mayor’s Youth Violence Summit to connect youth to opportunity and to hope.
