Daveisha Moore is public health professional with expertise in health policy and health disparities. She is currently serving as the Mission/Education Director for the Susan G. Komen Central Tennessee Affiliate. In that role she oversees the community grants program, health policy, advocacy initiatives and community outreach. She was appointed to the Komen Headquarters Community Grant Advisory Committee to work with Komen leadership to determine the direction of the affiliate network’s grant making based on federal and statewide policies. Before pursuing a career with Komen, she worked in the Tennessee State Legislature as the legislative assistant to the Chairman of the House Health and Human Resources Committee.
Originally from Knoxville, TN, Daveisha attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga were she received her undergraduate degree in premedical studies. She went on to receive her Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Health Planning and Administration at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Currently, Daveisha serves as the Recording Secretary for the Nashville Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Incorporated. In the fall of 2017, she was appointed as the youngest serving member of the Metropolitan Nashville Planning Commission.
