She was born and raised in the heart of the Mississippi Delta – Home of the Blues, Greenville, MS. Mrs. Wright is the eldest of five children born to the late Olivia Dukes and Andre Dukes. She attended Jackson State University and later transferred to Bradley University in Peoria, IL where she graduated and obtained a degree in Elementary Education/Health Science.
