Herman Smith serves as Assistant Director of Employee Relations for the Tennessee Department of Human Resources. In this role, he oversees and manages several employee relation enterprise-wide programs and functions, including reduction in force, gross misconduct, exit surveys, the employee suggestion program, and service awards. He also serves as the administrator for the Tennessee Employees Charitable Campaign, which over the last 3 years has totaled donations of approximately $775,000 to worthy charitable organizations in Tennessee that support health, medical research, human services, and social and environmental issues.
