Featuring David Benoit and The JT Project. For three decades, the 5 time GRAMMY®-nominated pianist/composer/ arranger David Benoit has reigned supreme as one the founding fathers of contemporary jazz. Benoit received three GRAMMY® nominations in the categories of Best Contemporary Jazz Performance for “Every Step of the Way” (1989), Best Large Ensemble Performance for GRP All-Star Big Band (1996), and Best Instrumental Composition for “Dad’s Room,” the latter from the album Professional Dreamer (2000). DrAlvin.Com Welcomes Natural Wonder To City Winery Nashville On Sunday August 27th At 7:30pm. See You There!

Natural Wonder According to the old idiom, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but some subjects worthy of flattery are not so easily imitated, and in the age of the tribute band, many a giant of the American songbook goes without authentic tribute simply because the original article set the bar a little too high. When one considers the colossal talent that is Stevie Wonder–the limitless voice and boundless multi-instrumental skill–it’s no mystery as to why there [...]
