Ralph Mullenax is motivated by vision and storytelling. He believes that people make decisions and take action less by what they know and more by what moves them. As a leader, Ralph brings his teams to share a common vision that inspires and guides them toward achievement. Every organization has a story to tell and whether trying to sell a product or service, improve employee performance, or increase giving to a good cause, being able to emotionally connect an audience to that story makes all the difference.
Currently, as a Financial Center Manager with CapStar Bank, Ralph works with individuals and businesses that are looking for a high-quality relationship with their banker. He is responsible for the growth of a retail banking market and management of his team and portfolio. He seeks to develop relationships that strengthen financial health and the communities in which we live.
Ralph has been in the banking industry since 2009 and played a vital role in the piloting and converting of traditional bank branches into high-tech, “branch of the future” formats. He has led focus groups centered on career development and professional growth.
Ralph has a Bachelor’s in History from Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ. He has worked locally with resettled refugees providing transportation, resume and employment assistance, and friendship through the traumatic experience of relocation to a new culture. He has been a partner with Bridges2Africa in gaining corporate sponsorship for the annual African Heritage Festival in Nashville. He is the Chair of the board for the Nashville Opportunities Industrialization Center and is on the Board of Governors for the Nashville Area Junior Chamber of Commerce.
