Lisa Bush is the Director of Sales & Marketing at the Thompson Nashville hotel, which opened to much acclaim in fall 2016. In this role, Bush is an invaluable asset to the hotel’s success in both managing the sales team and serving as a local expert, having been a respected member of Nashville’s community for many years. She brings to Thompson Nashville over 20 years of combined experience in the hospitality and sales industries, with over 10 years spent in a director’s role. Under her guidance, the hotel has received numerous awards including being named to Conde Nast Travelers’ 2017 “Hot List” and The Tennessean’s “Top Places to Work” list.

Prior to joining the team at Thompson Nashville, Bush held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing at Nashville’s Hutton Hotel, an independent boutique hotel from Leading Hotels of the World. Bush led the sales team through a successful launch upon opening in 2009, and worked with her team to develop and implement highly-effective sales and marketing strategies for what has become one of Nashville’s most notable hotels. During her time at the hotel, she also executed all hiring and training for the sales and marketing division to ensure her team’s continued success.

Before her time at the Hutton Hotel, Bush’s career brought her to key business and leisure travel markets in California. This includes positions on sales teams at the Hyatt Regency Suites in Palm Springs, Hyatt Regency Orange County and Hilton Suites in Anaheim, and Doubletree Ontario in Ontario. In addition, she also was a senior member of the opening sales team at the Hilton Nashville Downtown. Throughout these experiences, she worked to increase revenue and booking pace through the implementation of meaningful partnerships, insightful advertising opportunities and strong relationships with associations in top target markets. Before entering the hospitality industry, Bush worked in advertising at two Nashville-based agencies, affording her a well-rounded knowledge of the sales and marketing industry on both a local and national level.

Bush graduated with a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Middle Tennessee State University, and was born and raised in the great Nashville area. She is involved in a number of local Nashville organizations, including the T.J. Martell Foundation’s Business Leader Council, the Nashville Conventions & Visitors Corporation on the MCC Sales and Conventions Committee, and the Advisory Council for Nashville Fashion Week.
