DrAlvin.Com Welcomes Contracting For Equity Tennessee
February 28, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 6:30 pm
The Nashville Minority Business Center is launching Contracting for Equity Tennessee, a campaign designed to ensure small and minority-owned enterprises have increased opportunities to do business with the state of Tennessee.
The initiative is aimed at leveling the playing field for diverse businesses. The goal is to ensure public contracts are equitably distributed to businesses who are certified and qualified to provide services and/or supply goods for state government agencies.
From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, join us at the Tennessee State Capitol where we will meet with state policymakers and advocate on behalf of small and minority businesses across Tennessee. We’re asking legislators to amend an existing law that would create a special statewide public contracting program so that more small and minority-owned enterprises are successful in obtaining contracts with the State of Tennessee.
The proposed changes would affect nearly 1,500 business across the state. We need your support in order to ensure our lawmakers know that we mean business!
Register today to let us know you’ll be there!
