Taiisha Bradley, MA was appointed Marketing Manager at The Center for the Arts in Murfreesboro in 2017. In this role, she creates and implements innovative multimedia marketing strategies that attract new patrons, while retaining and deepening relationships with current patrons. Taiisha comes to the Center with more than 11 years of experience in nonprofit communications and 18 years of marketing and branding. This role also works with community leaders, businesses and organizations to represent Downtown Murfreesboro as the vibrant hub of shopping, dining, and arts entertainment that it is.
Prior to this role, Taiisha worked as a foster parent recruiter and trainer in Nashville, and as Office Manager/Program Administrator for a locally-based, national nonprofit that serves the children of fallen military personnel who have given their lives on active duty.
Taiisha is a native of South Carolina. She completed undergraduate studies at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. While an undergraduate, she founded the college internship program at a Radio One Inc. station in nearby Charlotte, NC. She completed her yearlong internship, founded a high school internship program at the station, and remained as a promotions volunteer until she graduated in 2002. After graduation, she joined the local graduate chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc and moved to Baltimore, MD.
Before relocating to Tennessee from Maryland in 2011, Taiisha was Public Relations Manager at The Maryland School for the Blind. In her role she was responsible for all internal and external communications and landed major media coverage for the organization from The Washington Post, Sports Illustrated and HBO. During her tenure, she graduated from Ellis College of the New York Institute of Technology with a Master of Communication Arts degree with a focus in Advertising and Public Relations.
While in Maryland, she also started her career as an independent publicist, where she assisted clients ranging from small businesses and nonprofits, to high profile and political figures. In 2015, Taiisha spearheaded an international publicity campaign with Game of Thrones actor Gary Wales, and a national campaign for author, KL Randis who was invited to the White House to share her story. Taiisha also served as a guest interviewer for IMDb and interviewed Angela Bassett.
Taiisha’s community service includes serving on the 2017 Wine Around the Square event committee which benefits the Power of Pink, Rutherford County’s premier fundraising program for breast cancer detection and treatment. She has recently began serving with Locally Owned Murfreesboro, an organization dedicated to promoting the benefits of shopping locally and building a stronger local economy by joining together in marketing, government advocacy and networking. Lastly, Taiisha is looking forward to beginning serving with Hope Station TN, a nonprofit that financially assists working single mothers who would normally not qualify for any state assistance due to salary caps but need emergency help with utility, water, mortgage, and car payments.
Taiisha lives in Murfreesboro with her husband James, and they have two sons, Mason age 10, and Landon age 1. When she is not working, she enjoys spending family time, attending special events, taking weekend trips, and reading.
