I grew up on Long Island New York, the youngest of three in an Italian family. My extended family is very large and our celebrations were even larger.
I moved to Tennessee in 1986 at the age of 18. I met my husband David who is from Texas, we married in 1992 and have two sons Billy and Jesse- I am now the proud grandmother of two grandchildren.
I started my Career in Hospitality Industry at Gaylord Resort and Convention Center in 1986. My goal was to become the Food and Beverage manager for the entire hotel. Throughout the years I held a variety of positions as I moved through the Food and Beverage outlets, continuing to grow my skills and knowledge. I worked, trained and took every course offering through the Tennessee Hotel Association.
Achieving my goal I became Food and Beverage Training Manager in 2000. After eliminated the training department in 2002, I secured a position with InterContinental Hotels group and work at the Holiday Inn on Elm hill pike in Nashville as the Food and Beverage Director for 7 years.
I was then offered a position as the Director of Housekeeping and welcomed the opportunity. I took on the position and project of re-branding all of the guest rooms.
In 2011 the Food and Beverage Director position became available at the Holiday Inn Vanderbilt West End property. I took the position and returned to my love of Food and Beverage. I am currently still in this position.
Throughout my thirty year career in hospitality, I am excited to say that I have accomplish and exceeded the goals that I have set for myself and the goals of the company.
I also find it very rewarding to have grown young professionals that have gone on to accomplish their own individual goals and have become an asset to their companies.
