Festival of Lights is a celebration of the many holiday traditions of our diverse Nashville community.

The performance will include dancing, music and storytelling from the holiday traditions of Divali, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, Advent, Ramadan and Las Posadas. These traditions, though from different religions, all share the commonalities of hope, celebration and light.

The Festival of Lights will occur on Saturday, December 3 at 7 pm at Cohn High School. Families are encouraged to arrive at 6 pm at Global Education Center at 4822 Charlotte Ave. to participate in a hands on exploration that includes authentic craft making and food tasting from each culture. We will walk across the street at 6: 45 pm to attend the performance.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and $8 for Global Education Center members and can be purchased online at www.globaleducationcenter.org.

Festival of Lights is presented through the generous support of Metro Arts Commission, Tennessee Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
